Arkırı

The paste we use are made of green olives of Antioche region (just north of Syrian border), fresh local cheese and seasoned thyme. We serve on an artichoke base.

Ingredients:

Artichoke, green olives, fresh local cheese, seasoned thyme

Wine Pairing:

All aromatic white wines, especially Muscat of Bornova pair very well.

What Does ARKIRI Mean?

In creating the names of our tapas, we were inspired by the archaic Hittite language. “Kırı” means olive in Hittite language. We added the prefix AR for artichoke and used the name ARKIRI for this tapas.
